Vanessa Guillen Murder Case

Vanessa Guillén, 20, was murdered on April 22, 2020, inside an armory at Fort Hood, Texas.

The perpetrator was another soldier, Aaron David Robinson, who bludgeoned her to death.

After around two months from Guillén missing, her dismembered remains were found buried along the Leon River on June 30.

Upon learning about the discovery, Robinson fled Fort Hood and ultimately fatally shot himself when law enforcement tried to apprehend him in nearby Killeen, Texas.

After Robinson’s girlfriend, Cecily Aguilar was taken into custody; authorities claimed she assisted him in dismembering and burying Guillén’s body.

Aguilar was charged on July 2, 2020, with one federal count of conspiracy to tamper with evidence.

On July 13, 2021, she was indicted by a federal grand jury on eleven counts.

Following that, Aguilar pleaded guilty to accessory to murder after the fact and three counts of making a false statement on November 29, 2022.
