A 20-year-old Ohio woman has been charged with murder after allegedly decapitating her 3-month-old daughter, authorities said.

Deasia Watkins of College Hill was charged with aggravated murder after Cincinnati cops said they found the beheaded infant inside a Waldway Lane home, Fox19.com reported.

Watkins was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for a mental evaluation.

The slaying of little Janiyah on Monday left neighbors in shock.

“This is a very quiet street. We’re all community-oriented. We all talk to each other,” Shawntee Brown said to Fox19.com.

Jimmie Graham, another neighbor, described a scene of commotion when cops arrived.

“They had the crime tape up, and I figured when the crime tape was up, somebody got hurt or killed or something,” Graham said. “She must have been out of her mind. I heard she cut the baby’s head off.”

Janiyah was recently taken from her mom and placed with a family member amid concerns about Watkins’ mental health, Local12.com reported.

A spokesman for the Hamilton County Job and Family Services would not comment.

The coroner, Dr. Lakshmi Sammarco, said his team would review all the evidence in the gruesome crime.

“It’s just a 3-month-old senseless murder. A baby lost her life,” Sammarco said, Local 12 reported. “We’re all parents. You know, I’m a mother, most of the people in our office are parents. This affects all of us.”
