During her three year tenure in Chico, she has anchored countless hours of wall-to-wall coverage of major catastrophic events, starting with the Oroville Dam Spillway Crisis in 2017. Then, in July of 2018, the Carr Fire spawned a ‘firenado’ that ripped into the city of Redding. It was followed three months later by the most recent disaster, The Camp Fire. All three experiences have made Lauren a stronger and a more humble journalist.

PARADISE, Calif. – The Paradise Irrigation District said it is planning intensified water sampling for the first two weeks in June. AUTHORITIES IDENTIFY MAN KILLED IN SHOOTING ON HIGHWAY 70
The Yuba County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim in a shooting on Highway 70 Wednesday night as Alejandro Escobar, 36, of Sacramento. The second victim was treated at a local hospital and released overnight for a minor injury.
